San Francisco is so happy to hear that our sea lions were found! Alllright, Oregon, hand 'em over. It's only a matter of time before they come back…with all of these perfectly cozy floating docks waiting for them ;)

The ever vigilant C.W. Nevius over at the Chron alerted us last week to the disturbing disappearance of the beloved, smelly sea lions over at Pier 39. Had the stubborn little guys (who made their first ...

San Francisco is trying to decide between cardinal red and maroon. What will you be wearing when Boston College takes on USC at Emerald Bowl (Dec. 26, AT&T Park)? It's not too late to come watch - but a game ticket, a flight (check out Virgin fares from BOS and LAX), rent a car, whatever you need to do. Just don't miss it!

San Francisco is thinking of the Master of Suspense. Have you seen Alfred Hitchcock's "The 39 Steps" at Curran Theatre (through Jan. 3)? It's said to guarantee nonstop laughs, an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and good old-fashioned romance. Sounds like a must-see!

Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS, a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre! This 2-time ...

San Francisco is thinking an artist's reception (with wine and happy hour specials) tonight, a Holiday Block Party (two parties, two venues, one block) and Economy Blues Bash (cheap drinks and live music) thurs. night and a Pu-Pu Platter (serves 4-6 people for $18) on Friday night. And that's just for starters....who's in?! http://tinyurl.com/mhf5yy

The boats will stay lit through Jan. 10 and can be seen most prominently on Jefferson St. bw Jones and Taylor Streets at the Sportfishing Harbor. (http://tinyurl.com/ybnjsdj)

San Francisco wants to learn how to do a two-foot spin on ice! It officially feels like December outside and it's time to pull out the ice skates. Don't you agree? There are ice skating rinks at the Embarcadero Center, Union Square and Yerba Buena (home to Brian Boitano). http://tinyurl.com/ybjux23

San Francisco is feeling historical...did you know that SF's downtown is built on landfill and buried ships from the Gold Rush? Over 800 vessels anchored in Yerba Buena Cove (what is now downtown SF) in 1849 and were abandoned as their passengers
and crew left in search of gold. Historians believe there may be as many as 75 ships un⋯⋯der downtown -- 40 of which have been discovered. So cool!
